While I grew up in Richmond, Va and attended Washington and Lee, life as I know it has been lived here in Charlotte. Lynne and I married in 1979 and moved here shortly thereafter with Young Life. All three of our children were born here. Our friends and community are all here.
My M.Div is from Fuller Seminary. After serving in YL for ten years, I served on the staff at Forest Hill for two years before launching the Barnabas Center in 1989. Barnabas has afforded lots of opportunities, in and outside of the counseling room, for meaningful conversations about how the real Jesus can meet us in our real lives with his real hope… And on the side, I love to read, walk and play golf.
