Doug Piper is an alumni of the Halftime Institute – he completed a Halftime Roundtable in 2015. After a successful marketing, designing, and manufacturing career, he is researching the creation and appreciation of fine craft beverages and foods.
Today he splits his time between Halftime LifeStream/Podcasts and consulting to the food and beverage market as the Founder and Host of Gourmet Brewing LLC. He’s a Certified BJCP Beer and Mead Judge and Cicerone. Fueled by passion, Doug understands the nuances of food and drink flavors. He is a “forever student,” eager to build an academic foundation. He brings a fresh perspective to the fine food and beverage market with simple yet scientific accuracy. His folksy manner is a welcome change from the typical journalist.
Doug and his wife, Nancy, have been married for over 35 years. They live in Greenville, South Carolina and have three grown children and one grandchild.
