John Putnam

John is the Founding President of National Christian Foundation Piedmont in Charlotte, N.C., a regional affiliate of National Christian Foundation (NCF) in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up on a NC farm and went on to study at N.C. State University As an entrepreneur, John led a thriving financial services practice for 22 years with a focus on advising high-capacity families, entrepreneurs and private businesses. He has CFP® designation (Certified Financial Planner), has received numerous industry awards and has been internationally recognized as a leader in his industry by the Million Dollar Round Table. John is an avid writer and speaker. He has had extensive media exposure sharing his insights, on financial issues facing families and businesses, with millions of people via local, regional and national television, radio and periodicals. John has always been active in his community, serving in leadership roles with youth, the arts, his church, schools and non-profits.

Over the past 10 years, John began to focus more on his clients’ life planning and the issues behind their financial and wealth transfer decisions. He has coached and led dozens of individuals and families through thoughtful processes and conversations to create clarity and unity as they move forward in achieving their respective goals. This faith-filled passion and calling, combined with his financial services expertise, led him to his own Halftime transition from his financial advisory to his current role with NCF in March 2012.

With this blend of professional and personal experience John is a very talented Halftime Roundtable Facilitator and shares the Halftime message in a powerful way to groups around the Carolinas. He and his wife, Anne, have been married for 25 years and have three children.
